SUSTAINABILITY
For 20 years, we have forged strong relationships with like-minded suppliers who consider their environmental and social responsibility. Many of these enduring relationships span decades, with regular visits each year.
We prioritise the use of quality fabrics and natural fibres that last. By investing in quality, you will have an heirloom piece that will last for many years. As part of this commitment, we have removed polyester from select bedding and accessories. Our ongoing product development remains focused on sustainability.
Bianca Lorenne does not follow fast trends. We believe our products are timeless in their style. We release limited edition collections every 9 months, carefully choosing colours to tie in with each of our collections past and future. We try to only produce what we know we’re going to sell.
We choose hand-made over mass-produced. By supporting expert artisans, we are keeping traditional techniques alive, providing makers worldwide with a fair rate of pay that honours their craftsmanship and supports their families.
Our bed linen supplier has the following sustainable and ethical practices certifications:
Certificate of A-8000 (Social Audit)
Certificate of CTPAT (Supply-chain security program)
Certificate of GOTS (Organic certification)
Certificate of RCS (Recycled Claim Standard)
Certificate of GRS (Recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices)
Certificate of OCS ( 95%-100% Organic Content Standard)
Our silk pillows, duvet inners and pillowcases utilise OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified silk. This international certification sets the benchmark for textile safety, from the source to the finished product. Every item bearing the STANDARD 100 label is certified as having passed safety tests for the presence of harmful substances.
As we have expanded into offering homewares and accessories, we have continued to ensure we work with suppliers that align closely with our values - quality that lasts, supporting artisans and making small runs over mass-produced goods. This pertains to all our home accessories including knitted washcloths and hand towels, glassware and seagrass baskets.
