These stunning woven placemats are made by artisans from Usiacurí, a vibrant town on the Caribbean coast of Colombia. Using a traditional technique that has been passed down through generations, the process begins by shaping a wireframe, over which they weave intricate patterns with Iraca palm. The result is an exceptionally detailed work of art that will elevate any table setting. 

Coro Cora supports Colombian artisans by blending their wonderful craftsmanship with modern design. As a mother-daughter team, they work directly with weaving cooperatives around Colombia to create beautiful, unique tabletop accessories and homewares that celebrate the vibrancy of their country. All placemats are 100% handmade from natural fibres. Please allow for any colour and sizing variations, or natural imperfections created during the hand making process.

Working mainly with female artisans, Coro Cora's goal is to empower them and ensure they receive a sustainable income for them and their families. Through sustainable and slow consumption we can all create a lasting social change.
