Annie Sloan Satin Paint in Old White is a classical, versatile, slightly cool-toned white. It’s our best-selling Chalk Paint™ shade. Inspired by the colour of traditional gesso and refined chalk, this is a soft white with strong character. It works with every colour and is a fail-safe choice with any other shade. Use with Oxford Navy or Aubusson Blue to create a grand yet cosy space.

Available in 750ml. 750ml is enough to cover approximately 11 square metres.

Annie Sloan Satin Paint is a washable, wipeable, quick drying, water based, low VOC interiors paint with a 10% sheen. It’s certified as Toy Safe with an A+ EU Indoor Air Rating.

Before you start, get to know the basics with our Satin Paint Product Information Sheet.

All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from any dust, debris or oil-based contaminants before applying Annie Sloan Satin Paint. We advise using a water-based detergent such as sugar soap to thoroughly clean. If you are painting a metal surface, we advise applying a specialist primer underneath Satin Paint. There is no need to apply Wax or Lacquer after Annie Sloan Satin Paint.

Annie Sloan Satin Paint is formulated for interior use on wood and metal, and has two main purposes. Firstly, it’s been designed to be used in conjunction with Annie Sloan Wall Paint on skirting, millwork, architraves, doors and other busy areas of the home. Secondly, it’s been developed to offer a contemporary-looking “one-step” solution to painting wooden and metal furniture. There is no need to apply Chalk Paint™ Wax or Lacquer to Annie Sloan Satin Paint.

When painting flooring, outdoors, or to create decorative effects, we recommend Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan.

Please note that paint colours will vary due to batch variation and depending on screen settings. We cannot guarantee that paint colours will exactly match the colour you see on screen or to a piece you have painted in the past. If you are in doubt, please get in touch to discuss with us further.
