The Brioche stitch is a thick, lofty, ribbed knitting stitch pattern that has been made popular over the last few years. Learn Brioche with our experienced tutor by knitting the cosiest of winter projects, a warm beanie. Perfect for long beach walks during the cold months, or if you can bear to give it away, a thoughtful and fabulous gift.
In this class you will knit the Posy Hat and learn how to knit two colour Brioche stitch in the round using a combination of fingering and lace weight mohair yarns.

This is sufficient to knit either the small or large size:
C1 (Brim): 85m of fingering/4 ply yarn (200m per 50g is best) – eg. Isager Sock or Isager Tweed
C2 (Brioche body): 100m of fingering/4 ply yarn (200m per 50g is best) – eg. Isager Sock or Isager Tweed
C3 (Brioche body): 200m of silk mohair yarn (held double). This colour should be a good contrast to C2
Please note that C2 can be the same or different colour to C1. If choosing the same colour you will require 185m total of a 4ply yarn – eg. one ball of Isager Sock or Isager Tweed.

Prior to class: Knit the garter stitch brim of the hat, ready to start the Brioche body of the hat in class.

Parking:
Weekday daytime classes - please park on Devon Street as there is no parking within the complex during the week.
Night and weekend classes - you are welcome to drive down and park in the complex.
Payment
100% deposit is payable on registration. Your place in the classes will not be confirmed until full payment is made.
Cancellation policy
Full refund of payment or eligibility to move your class to a different date will only be allowed if your spot can be filled on the original booking date. Failure to attend the class without prior notification will not be eligible for a refund or to have your spot moved to a different date. Please be considerate. Should we not reach the minimum numbers required to run the class we will either cancel or postpone the class to another date. We reserve the right to cancel a class due to unusual and unforeseen circumstances. We will try to avoid this wherever possible however sometimes this cannot be avoided. In this situation we will of course offer a full refund. We are sorry but we cannot be financially responsible for extreme weather conditions or any other situations that are out of our control.
